“I’d have no more troubles …. That’s what the man said”

“And I learned there are troubles

Of more than one kind

Some come from ahead

And some come from behind.”

“I had trouble in getting to Solla Sollew” by Dr. Seuss – this is one of my favourite books and I still have the original copy that I got as a child – many decades ago now.

The message is a great one – it does not matter how we live, where we live or what we do; life will always deliver some nasty surprises along the way and the best way to deal with them is to acknowledge they may come along and plan for them.

I have met with a number of young couples at the start of 2015 who have just bought homes and have started their families – the concern is often budget.. Finances are stretched at this time and insurance is not the most tangible purchase!

It may not be realistic from a budget perspective to put in place the “ideal” protection plan for your family BUT you will sleep easy knowing that you have put some plans in place. If you cannot work, will your family be able to pay the everyday bills such as the mortgage, food and power. If the worst was to happen and you passed away, what mess would you leave behind if you had no life insurance? Let’s look at the costs …

sleep-easyA 37 year old (non-smoking) male can put in place $500,000 of life cover for around $32 per month. That same man can have a lump sum of $100,000 paid to him if diagnosed with a cancer or suffering a heart attack for only $23 per month.

Just imagine how much more choice and dignity you and you family would have if you had this money available to you – rather than depending on the good will of family members or friends or your wider community!
