When the rubber meets the road.

Yesterday I met with 2 young women who had lost their mother recently.  One of the women has her insurances with me and was seeking assistance in dealing with the claims process.

Their Mum did not have her insurances with me; as such I asked the girls to bring along the policy documents so that I could see what cover was in place.  In looking through the documentation and learning a little more about their Mums battle, I was able to point out other benefits that the mother – and her estate are entitled to.

Given the policy was owned by their mother only, the benefit will have to be distributed to her estate which will take some time.  It would have sped the process up if the policy had been jointly owned by her and one of her daughters as the benefit would have been distributed to the surviving owner promptly.  Of course, if there are a number of beneficiaries then it may be prudent to have the money paid to the estate and distributed as per your will.  However, I am confident that her family will receive all of the ancillary benefits that they are entitled to but were not aware of, as well as the main life benefit.

Whilst the process of setting up insurances can seem tedious and the many questions asked of you possibly intrusive; thoroughness at this time ensures that the claims can be paid promptly.
This is a key part of my role – to assist you in the event of a claim….when the rubber meets the road.

“Having to claim on one’s trauma insurance means something you hoped would never happen has done just that.” – John and Kay, Cambridge

For my wife and I, lightning struck twice in 2 months with both of us diagnosed with cancer. Lodging and settlement of the claims have been so straightforward with Lynda. Lynda has combined a professional approach while showing empathy to us in the claiming and facilitating the processing of both trauma insurance claims. All we had to do was send Lynda the claim form and provide the evidence that the trauma had occurred. She organised the rest. That is service at a time when you don’t need any hassles. We recommend Lynda to you and thank her for advice on the wisdom of having trauma insurance cover.
